MIG/MAG-Welding Torch ABIMIG® A T S LW
The robust MIG/MAG manual torch with the small handle
This is what the welding technology world has been waiting for: lightweight welding torches from the well-known ABIMIG® line with a small handle. Designed with optimised ergonomics and an extendable trigger, the ABIMIG® A T S LW manual torches from ABICOR BINZEL are specially designed for welders who prefer a small and compact handle.
Compared to the ABIMIG® standard welding torch, the length of the handle, the diameter of the handle and the distance to the trigger have become smaller. This enables excellent handling with low weight.
If you also require manual torches that are robust and durable at the same time, you have all the advantages combined in one torch type with an ABIMIG® A T S LW welding torch.
All ABIMIG® A T S LW manual torches offer the following advantages:
- Small, compact handle
- Extremely lightweight, less muscular strain
- Includes detachable trigger extension for more comfort when welding
- Compact and powerful
-
Wide range of proven exchangeable torch necks
-
Long-lasting, high-quality wear parts from ABIMIG® torch series
The smallest manual torch in the ABIMIG® series
The heavier and more unwieldy a welding torch, the quicker the muscles tire and are simultaneously subjected to one-sided strain. Pain in the musculoskeletal system is the result. The demand for a small manual torch of this proven series was increasing. For this reason, ABICOR BINZEL developed the ABIMIG® torch line, which scores with up to 50 % less weight of the welding torch including cable assembly.
The ABIMIG® A T S LW torch line with a small, slim handle is the ideal solution if you want a small, compact manual torch or have small hands and want to enjoy the same comfort as welders with larger hands. With an ABIMIG® A T S LW manual torch you can weld more comfortably and with greater endurance.
The differences are clearly visible:
Best of all, the detachable trigger extension gives you further operating convenience, because you can remove it if you wish. Here's how: Take a screwdriver, a pen or the end of a welding wire and press it into the recess of the fixed trigger. The extension piece loosens and can be removed.
Flexible: When welding tasks change frequently
You know the problem: Sometimes you need a long torch neck to reach the welding joint, sometimes a short one is sufficient. Or you need a manual torch with a smaller bending angle for an application, for another you need one with a larger bending angle. With the ABIMIG® A T S LW manual welding torches and the exchangeable necks in various designs, it is much easier. The rotatable torch necks enable you to turn the neck at any time and switch between top and bottom trigger.
For frequently changing welding tasks, you do not need a separate manual torch each time, because with the ABIMIG® welding torch line you can access all the exchangeable torch necks that this series offers:
- Exchangeable torch necks in different sizes and bending angles
- Flexible torch necks in different lengths
- Extra-light and robust shipyard torch necks
- Exchangeable torch necks with short front end especially for narrow gaps
- Torch necks for self-protecting cored wires
This allows you to easily replace the torch necks quickly and without tools and gives you even more flexibility for changing welding tasks.

Practical: ABIMIG® A T S LW welding torch spare parts
You already work with ABIMIG® A T LW, ABIMIG® A LW or ABIMIG® Shipyard & Offshore welding torches? You can also use their spare parts or wear parts for the entire ABIMIG® A T S LW torch line with a small handle. In this way you keep the variety of wear parts low and save additional storage costs.
Torch neck liner
- guarantee safe wire guidance, resist heat from the process and allow high time savings when changing torch necks.
Liner for cable assemblies
- are particularly robust and heat-resistant, have very good sliding properties and significantly reduce gas losses due to their plastic coating.
Contact tips
- have good current transfer properties, reduce spatter adhesion or are highly temperature resistant, depending on the contact tip type.
Contact tip holder
- has an integrated gas distribution and in this way reduces the number of wear parts and thus stock-keeping and costs.
High-performance gas nozzles
- ensure long operating times with optimum shielding gas coverage, the coating reflects heat and reduces the adhesion of weld spatter and thus the formation of bridges.
Narrow-gap gas nozzles
- allow good accessibility to the weld joint and a good view of the process with good shielding gas coverage.
