CAT2 Robot mount product phase-out
CAT2 collision safety mounts are planned for phase-out, and will be replaced by the new CAT3Pro CR. The CAT3Pro CR will start from January 1st 2021.
The basic design of CAT3Pro CR is the CAT3.
Time frame
The last possibility to order CAT2 mounts will be January 1st, 2021. Spare parts will remain available for up to 3 years provided there is yearly usage.
Torch brackets / Signal cable
With the CAT3Pro CR version you can use all existing torch brackets and robot flanges as with CAT2.
The signal cable is the same as for CAT2. All cables from CAT2 matching with the new CAT3Pro CR version.
TCP (Tool Center Point)
TCPs of standard CAT2 and CAT3Pro CR brackets are a match.
Reprogramming of the robot is not required.

CAT3Pro CR Technical data
The technical specifications remain unchanged compared to CAT2 & CAT3. There are changes in payload or recess accuracy.
All known spring force types are still available. (S, M, L , XL)
Technical data
All technical data are matching with the present CAT2 & CAT3. All specific CAT2 versions (e.g. with torch mount etc.) can still be sold to our customers under the name CAT3Pro CR.
